About 18 months ago I started a quick and dirty blog-post to answer the question, ‘what exactly is witchcraft?’ I thought it would be simple, a post that I could write in my sleep.

I should have known better, as I tend to overcomplicate everything – but I also don’t like reductive essays or posts such as 10 easy ways to _____________.

I started with the question ‘what is a witch?’, but once I started writing and researching I realized the answer was not as straightforward as I thought.
